We did an extensive remodel starting with a new kitchen and custom dining room cabinets, going all the way to foundation work and outside walls renovation. Kanika and Adi were a joy to work with and delivered on budget and on time. Kanika's taste, and expertise in shapes, structures, and colors was amazing to witness. She listens, suggests, and guides, to deliver a design that goes beyond expectations. Adi, as the project manager is extremely communicative, direct, and transparent, which all combine to contractors on site everyday and a huge confidence on in-time progress. I worked with Kanika Design a boutique interior design company for several years. While working there I was able to work on all aspects of the design process, had a lot of hands on experience. Kanika, the owner and principal interior designer, is very knowledgable person who is willing to answer all of your questions and teach you everything she knows. Kanika Design helped us with a full home remodel for our home in west San Jose. After living in our home for several years, it was about time we needed the refresh. My wife and I interviewed multiple interior designers in the bay area, but Kanika Design stood out from our first meeting. Throughout the entire process, Kanika ensured that we were comfortable with her design choices. We are not that big on using colors, Kanika's suggestions gave us confidence, and we are glad that we followed her recommendations. Kanika Design’s team did an outstanding job managing and completing our remodel project on time and within our budget. Their team is professional and the contractors did great work. Kanika is an extremely talented designer, and I can't recommend her enough!

We bought a house in March 2020 - signed the contract days before covid stay at home orders. My husband and I then spent two years working from home together in our front room (we call it the study now) without any rhyme or reason, just putting our desks wherever they fit, because it all happened so quickly. It was awkward and ugly, cords and monitors everywhere, and not a great look for people walking in our front door. The whole time, I was thinking, "when this is done and at least one of us goes back to the office, I want to make this room into a nice space to read and relax, and also to WFH when I have to."

That's where Kanika comes in. I tried changing the place up on my own, but every choice I made seemed to make my space uglier and more awkward. It was time to hire a professional. That decision was worth every penny.

In the end, my project turned out to be slightly bigger than just one room. I enlisted Kanika's help in choosing flooring, baseboards and paint for the whole house, furniture for my entire downstairs (we were still using the old living room furniture left by the previous owners), and light fixtures throughout. She was easy to work with and understood immediately what I was going for. My study is a real showstopper now - the walls are this deep blue color that looks amazing, she designed a gorgeous custom bookshelf that makes perfect use of the space, and she picked a couch that is the perfect size, just the right color, and so comfortable. And we still managed to get a desk in there for those WFH days. Literally just the other day, I was on a Zoom with someone and thought "this room behind me is so pretty, it looks like a fake background." But it's real, and in my house! We hired Kanika during covid to do remodeling for our bay area home. From day 1  we knew we were in the right hands. Kanika helped us in designing complete home interior and introduced us to several interior design concepts which we would have never thought on our own.

Kanika really listened to our needs, gave excellent recommendations for material and furnishings and her team were super flexible and helped us all the way to manage the project with construction. We stayed in our budget and are really happy with the results.
