Small spaces have an amplitude of potential when it comes to outdoor interior design. With creativity and patience, we transformed this empty lot into an outdoor patio with a unique theme – Contemporary PolyZen.
Patios should be an approachable and intimate setting for gatherings, so our vision was to design a stylish outdoor space that served as a fun domain to entertain guests. Since our client telecommuted he wanted the space to embody zen-like setting to both works and relax.
We approached this by decorating with a garden Buddha, candles, and installing dark neutral colored tiles on the ground. In respect to weather and space, we used refurbished sofa/lounge chairs and a side table that also converted into a coffee table. To add some character we decorated with a hanging compass fixture and a Tiki Hut Tavern sign which gave the space a Contemporary Polynesian feel.
